Shopify, BlackBerry develop COVID-19 app; Canada to roll out voluntary tests

Canadian technology firms Shopify Inc and Blackberry Ltd are developing a mobile contact testing app for the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Thursday.

Ingimar Einarsson is an independent social scientist at the Reykjavík Academy in Iceland. He completed a Ph.D degree in Sociology from the University of Uppsala in Sweden in 1987, a Master Degree from same university in 1980 and a BA Degree in Political Science from University of Iceland in 1974. After finishing his bachelors degree in Political Science Ingimar worked as a project officer at the Directorate of Health in Reykjavík, followed by postgratuated studies and research at University of Uppsala in Sweeden. Ingimar served as a senior officer at the Nordic Council of Ministers in Oslo and Copenhagen, he was a senior officer at the Nordic Council Secretariat in Stockholm and director of department at the Ministry of Health in Iceland from the middel of 1990s until late 2011. During 2008-2009 he was Councellor for Health, Labour and Social Affairs at the Embassy of Iceland in Brussels. Ingimar has for decades been engaged in Nordic and international cooperation, e.g. Nordic Council of Ministers, Nordic Council, EU/EFTA, WHO and OECD.
